Aquafreesoul comes from the belief that we are all part of an Infinite Source Energy. When we tap into our right hemisphere of our brain, through art and creativity, we are able to shut down the mental shattering of thoughts and therefore create a bridge for healing, intuition, expression, visions of new possibilities, release of emotional blockages & limiting beliefs and a deeper understanding of ourselves. Then, we become empowered to design and bring forth the life we desire, and live a more joyous life while positively impacting the lives of others.

About the Workshops: a lot of people tell me they don’t have talent or that they’ll never be able to do what I do. But in my workshops I teach them a few simple tricks and they leave feeling surprised and happy knowing they are capable of creating something beautiful. 

About the Art: Through my art I want to show you how powerful you are. That deep within you, you have the key to unlock all your gifts, all your magic, all your strength. Through my brush strokes and my images you feel and recognize the powerful being that you are.

Astrid Carolina Mendieta. Artist, Yoga Instructor, Entrepreneur

ARTIST BIO

Astrid is a Nicaraguan-Honduran artist, based in Lake Tahoe, California. She has been passionate about the arts since a little girl, but it was until June of 2021 that she decided to become a professional artist while studying at the Milan Art Institute. For years she struggled with knowing her purpose and worth and after years of internal searching she hit a breakthrough. It was in the lowest point of her life that she committed to her spirituality and in a shamanic ceremony she had a vision of herself sharing her paintings and teaching workshops all over the world. 

Her style has evolved from painting detailed galaxies and mandalas, to abstract realism of women, wild animals, nature and the Cosmos. She loves to sketch and draw images and layer them with spray paint, markers, acrylics, inks, collage and oil paints. Her loose brushstrokes accompanied with refined details demonstrate her confidence and commitment to her craft, as well as her personal evolution that went from being tight and close, to opening up and freeing her self-expression.

Her studio overlooking the beautiful pine trees of the mountain and aqueous lands of Tahoe, inspires Astrid to paint daily. She also loves to travel, explore nature and teach. She offers online art, yoga and personal development workshops that teach her students how to connect with their inner power and open up the possibility of transforming their reality into one that aligns to their soul’s path. Her future goal is to travel  showcasing her art and offering retreats worldwide. She hopes to create a spark in people’s hearts and inspire her tribe by reminding them of their strength, worth and inner magic.
