Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

Bears and Lake Tahoe imagery is symbolic to California and the experiences I’ve had here. Coming from a small town in Central America, where the majority of the population lives in extreme poverty, makes me think how blessed I am. Not many people have the opportunity to be here, and I never take that for granted.

My privilege has taken some work though. A lot of dedication and commitment, mostly to my personal/spiritual growth. I have spent hours studying the mind/body/soul connection and hours meditating because I understand the hermetic concept of “As Above, So Below, As Within, So Without”.

For years I've created an inner sanctuary (and still do), so that I can see that projected in my daily experiences and interactions. I seek to be a better human, connecting with nature, animals and other people. Once we all understand that all begins with us internally, we can see that reflected in the world all around us.This piece also speaks about the importance of becoming aware that there is life all around us and that animals are conscious too.
